Pink Rose

June is the Month to Start Thinking About:

  • Pinching your Chrysanthemums to encourage them to be bushier and to have more blooms. They may be pinched back periodically until July 4th.
  • Deadheading your annuals to encourage more flowers
  • Planting Gladiola bulbs each week until July 1
  • Removing dead foliage from your Spring flowering bulbs after they have died back naturally
  • Moving some of your blooming houseplants outside

June Odds and Ends

Keep weeds pulled before they flower and go to seed again. By doing this, you will prevent newly germinated weed seed for the next year.

Think about the birds and change the water in your birdbath regularly to prevent mosquito larvae.
